Company celebrates milestone

This year marks a milestone for Care and Comfort, a business that’s devoted two decades to making clients’ lives better.
Founded 20 years ago and still owned by Susan and Leo Giguere, of Waterville, Care & Comfort offers statewide assistance to both adults and children.

“We offer quality home health and behavioral health services to children and adults from throughout Aroostook County,” said Susan Giguere.
“Care & Comfort provides assistance to clients of all ages in two distinct areas: home health services and mental health services for clients of all ages. Care & Comfort’s mission is to provide quality care in the least restrictive environment possible. Skilled, caring professionals provide services to children, adolescents, adults and older adults, across 13 counties in Maine,” noted Giguere.
Two hundred full- and 200 part-time employees provide services to residents throughout the state.
“Today there is a production staff in excess of 400, serving over 600 families across Maine, with five offices across the state, located in Bangor, Dover-Foxcroft, Waterville, Wilton and in Presque Isle at 165 Academy St.,” she said.
Giguere said the growth of Care & Comfort is in large part due to its dedicated employees and the great job that they do every day.
“We have great staff that not only value and respect folks who come to us for services but also are creative with strategies to make life easier for the Maine families we serve,” she said.
In Presque Isle, Chris Morse, LCSW, leads the staff in making life better for those they serve.
“As Chris leads Care & Comfort in The County, he has the strengths that I’ve described. Customer service is Job One. We want clients to know they’re valued,” said Giguere. “Respect is at the top of his list with both young and old. The team has great creative strategies to help folks move forward while understanding the challenges of raising a family today.”
Giguere said all the clinical and homecare staff work diligently to make clients’ lives just a little better.
“We are across the street from the hospital. Please stop in to say hello,” said Giguere.
