Jim’s: Affordable, quality cars

Whether you’re looking for a low- to mid-range priced vehicle or do an appraisal on that special old car, Jim Burrill is the guy to talk to.
“Most of my cars and trucks come from local dealers — vehicles that were traded by people we know. That’s what’s good about living and buying in The County; our money stays and works here,” said Jim Burrill, owner of Jim’s Automotive, located at 557 Griffin Ridge Rd., Mapleton.

Each vehicle is carefully checked and repairs made before they’re ever put up for sale.
“I go over these units from front to rear, replacing the things that have or may go wrong. They are fully serviced and clean, then priced to sell quickly,” he said.
Burrill goes beyond the average car dealer, even making ‘house calls.’
“Many times I’ve received calls and taken the vehicle to show a prospective customer at home,” Burrill explained.
His appraisal business has also grown over the years.
“As for the appraisal side, this has really taken off because a lot of insurance companies want an opinion as to what a classic vehicle or customized truck is worth. It doesn’t have to be old to be worth more than NADA (National Automobile Dealers Association) says it’s worth. It could be a mid-90s convertible that’s just driven on good days and stored winters, making it worth more than the insurance company would pay if there were a loss,” noted Burrill.
Owners of customized vehicles rely on appraisals to guarantee they can recoup their investment, should a disaster happen.
“Pickups and cars that are fabricated or customized often involve an extreme amount of time and money. That’s a big investment with no book to tell the true value. That’s where an appraisal is necessary to ensure your investment is documented,” said Burrill.
Burrill has been helping match drivers with just the right vehicle to suit their needs for 36 years. Let that experience work for you when you’re in the market for an automobile or in need of an appraisal.
“Come see me for a great low-priced vehicle or appraisal of your collectible ride today,” said Burrill.
