Ricker Classical Institute is no longer a visible part of the town of Houlton, but 31 classmates recently gathered to renew the spirit of the Class of 1960. On Aug. 14, 54 classmates, spouses, and friends all enjoyed a sunny afternoon at Joyce Fitzpatrick’s camp at Drew’s Lake in New Limerick. A special guest was former coach and physical education teacher, Roger Wickman. Accompanying him was his son Doug who became official photographer for the event.
For several members of the class this was the first time they had seen their fellow classmates since graduation. The classmate who traveled the longest distance was Judy (Anderson) Bleiler from Aspen, Colo. Coming from Milledgeville, Ga. were Bobby Howe and Marilyn; and from Florida were Loughlin Black and Sue from Lakeland, Bill Anderson and Betty from Naples, Eileen (Hornbrook) Jordan from St. Pete’s Beach, and Stephen Rich from Venice. Jeanne (Carter) Young came from Silver Spring, Md., and two classmates who came from Connecticut were Larry Woodworth and Andrea from Rowayton and John Sandstrom from Burlington. Contributed photo
