    Michael and Donna Smith of Van Buren are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Myka Denise Smith to Patrick David Walsh, son of David and Kathy Walsh of Blaine. Myka is the granddaugther of Donald and Marie Beaulieu of Van Buren and Omerine and the late Tom Smith of Van Buren. Patrick is the grandson of the late Wendell and Lorraine Doughty of Fort Fairfield and Joan and the late Verlane Walsh of Mars Hill.
    Myka is a 2008 graduate of Van Buren High School and a 2010 graduate of Empire Beauty School, Caribou, and is employed at Nikki’s Hair Loft, Caribou.
    Patrick is a 2004 graduate of Central Aroostook High School, Mars Hill, and a 2006 graduate of Northern Maine Driving Academy, Presque Isle, and is employed at Aroostook Foods in Caribou.
    A September 10, 2011 wedding is planned.
