HOULTON – Amanda M. Dunphy, 99, passed away Dec. 20, 2010 at a local healthcare facility. She was born Sept. 1, 1911 at Fort Kent, the daughter of Samuel and Christine (Castonguay) Caron.
Amanda was employed at The Aroostook Hospital and then for many years at Houlton Regional Hospital until her retirement. She was well known by many of the patients for her loving and tender care as a nurse’s aide.
She was a member of the Houlton First Baptist Church and the Portia Rebekah Lodge. She enjoyed bowling with the Dux Club ladies and for a number of years attended almost every high school basketball game in both Houlton and Hodgdon.

Amanda’s family would like to thank the administration and staff at Madigan Estates for the love and care they showed Amanda during her stay at their facility.
