BREWER — The Caribou swim team kicked off the regular season with a tough meet against Brewer Friday. Several Vikings brought home top finishes in the meet, but since Caribou is relatively few in number, the overall team scores were not a true indication of how well the Vikings swam.
Tulsi Johnson (100 freestyle), Darren Newbegin (50 free) and the girls 200 free relay team all brought home first-place finishes.
The boys squad fell 91-19, while the girls team lost 106-38.
Individual Viking girls results were:
200 medley relay— 3, Caribou (Corly Cavender, Johnson, Rilee Elliott and Rachel Wasson), 2:47.24.
