There will be a get-together for Derek, Ebony and Ramyiah White at the Odd Fellow’s Hall in Easton on Sunday, Dec. 26, from 1-3:30 p.m. Derek is serving in the Army. We sure do appreciate his dedication and all he does. He and his family have been away for awhile so it will be a good chance to stop in and see him.
Birthdays/anniversaries
On Dec. 22, John Tompkins, Laura Sims Galitano,Jeffrey Hitchcock, Megan Bradley, Caleb Richardson and Bill Sweeney IV all have a birthday. Happy birthday Meggie Weg.
Stephen Hopkins and Colleen Woodtke will be another year older on Dec. 23. Also on that day, Hughie and Joan Gray have an anniversary.
On Dec. 24, Jamie Hewitt has a birthday.
Celebrating their birthdays on Dec. 26 are Bruce Robbins, Forrest Dudley, Lindsay Scanlin, Seth Dudley, Larry Hathaway and Isiah Rediker.
On Dec. 27, Marie Hewitt and Ember Pelletier have a birthday to celebrate.

Happy Days Club
The Easton Happy Days Club will hold its first meeting of the New Year on Thursday, Jan. 13. Easton residents age 55 or older are invited to participate in all activities. Seniors are invited to join a potluck luncheon at the manor, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Speaker for the meeting will be Kyla Lagassie. She lives in Easton and will be discussing the importance of Girl Scouts.
Kiwanis Club
The Easton Kiwanis Club met on Dec. 7 for their Christmas party, with 21 in attendance. Five people from the Presque Isle Kiwanis’ Club were present. They were: Sue and George Watson, Karen Gonya, A.J. Clukey and Dan Lee. From Easton were: Ann and Tom Osgood, Mike Cyr, Bernard Hussey, Irene DaFonte, Jessica Blackstone, Jeremy Corey, Mike and Loris Allen, Eldora and Clair Carter, Herbert Demerchant, Esther Richardson, Vaughn Martin, Harold Clark and Doug Blackstone.
A delicious ham dinner with potluck dishes was enjoyed by all. After the supper a Yankee Swap took place with much fun and laughter. After all had had their turn there was still one gift left. President Mike Allen held it up for auction with lively bidding between Jeremy Corey and George Watson. Watson won the gift which contained a jar of homemade raspberry jam made and donated by Bernard Hussey.
Mike told the group that McCain Foods was donating the turkeys to the Club’s Christmas baskets and that there would be a box for toys at Country Farms Market next weekend with coffee and cookies for donors.
The president of Presque Isle’s Club, A.J. Clukey, reported on their 59th upcoming Talent Revue on Jan. 22, to be held at the Presque Isle Middle School at 7 p.m. Auditions will be held on Jan. 8 from 9-11 a.m. This will be the first year that adults are now invited to compete. Christmas vacation activities
Tuesday, Dec. 28 — A fun-filled day of ice-skating, lunch at McDonald’s and swimming. We will depart from the hall at 9:30 a.m. to go skating, then to lunch and swimming. We will return to the hall at 3:10 p.m. The cost is $4.50 for skating and your lunch money. The Rec will pick up the cost of swimming.
Wednesday, Dec. 29 — Hang-out time at the hall from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Come catch up with your friends. Feel free to bring new games and toys. Lunch will be provided. No fee. Roller-skating in Caribou. The bus will depart from the hall at 1:10 and return at 4:40 p.m. The cost is $4. Concessions will be available and rollerblades are $2 extra.
Thursday, Dec. 30 — Third- and fourth-grade basketball round robin in Mars Hill. Times will be announced closer to the event. Players must participate in both practices prior to in order to attend.

Wednesday, Dec. 22 — Junior activities for ages 2 and up at the hall from 9:30-11 a.m. Seniors’ exercise at 1 p.m. in the recreation room at the manor. Gift Making (Group C) from 2:45 to 4:15 p.m. at the hall. Pre-registration required.
Thursday, Dec. 23 — Movies at the Caribou Theatre. Bus will depart from the school at noon and return to the hall around 3:10 p.m. The cost is $5. Open to grades 1 and up.
Friday, Dec. 24 — No junior activities today. Seniors’ Christmas Eve Breakfast will be served at 9:30 a.m. in the recreation room at the manor. All are welcome to attend!
Monday, Dec. 27 — Senior Nutrition Class starting at 11 a.m. in the recreation room at the manor. The Easton Town Office and Recreation Department will be closed to observe the Christmas holiday.
