Grades 5-6 basketball

Week two kicked off with more great games after a snow day on Monday. Lakers point guard Josiah Morse led the way with 14 points, followed by the “Twin Towers,” Randon and Ryle Mortland scoring 12 and nine points, respectively, in the contest in their 35-28 overtime win over the Celtics. Randon Mortland’s three-pointer in the extra session was the key hoop.

On the other side of the court, the Celtics’ Marcus Ouellette continues to lead the scoring attack as he added 13 more to his point total, with Bradley Kinney notching 11 points and RJ Gross chipping in with four.

In the late game, the Bulls and Spurs went at it and the Bulls’ Grant Stewart had game-high 20 points,  followed by Caleb Page with six, Madison Bearden with three and Dylan Schinhofen with a basket for the victorious Bulls, who pulled out a 31-29 win. The game was a seesaw battle until the last 10 seconds when Page made a 12-foot left wing jumper to give the Bulls the win.
