Brookton, Maine

    I live in Brookton, Maine. I love my community. My community is great because there is very little traffic. I have three reasons why Brookton is my favorite place to live.
    Reason one is that almost my whole family lives in Brookton. I also have tons of friends here. They are either happy or funny all the time.
    Reason number two is that we have Baskahegan Lake. On that lake we go swimming. I have a lot of memories there. The fishing is great, and a lot of people love to fish there. Some people fish while they camp on the island. They usually sleep in tents. Most of the time I go with my mom, dad, and siblings or with my friends. My aunt goes swimming with me sometimes too!
    Reason three is the Brookton Forest City Community Center. They always have something cool for each holiday. They have a parade for the Fourth of July, and after the parade they have a field day. For Christmas they have a huge party and almost the whole town of Brookton comes to it. For summer vacation they have an even bigger field day than they do on the 4th of July. On Halloween there is a Halloween party, and on Easter they have an egg hunt and a prize give-away. The community center is always a fun place to go and play basketball. Some people rent it out to have parties. There is a playground there, too. That place is always awesome!
    Brookton is a great town to live in because of my family, Baskahegan Lake, and the Brookton Forest City Community Center. I would not want to live any other way.
