Hospital website awarded
PRESQUE ISLE — The Aroostook Medical Center’s website (www.tamc.org) is the recipient of the eHealthcare Leadership’s Distinction Award for Best Health/Healthcare Content in 2010.
Lighthouse Web Solutions, a critical member of TAMC’s web development team, accepted the award during the 14th annual Healthcare Internet Conference in Las Vegas on Nov. 17, 2010.
The eHealthcare Leadership Awards is the leading program that recognizes the very best of web development in the healthcare industry. The criteria for judging the winners were based upon a multi-point standard of Internet excellence and how they compared with others within their classification.
The website boasts a robust health information library where the community can learn more about health topics such as heart health and diabetes, as well as a pregnancy learning center for families that are expecting. In addition to health information, the website also offers job opportunities, information about the services the hospital provides and the very popular online baby gallery for babies born at A.R.
