SORORITY NEWS
The March meeting of Beta Sigma Phi, Preceptor Alpha, was brought to order by President Paula Flora at the home of Cathy Allen. There were 10 members present and one guest.
It was suggested that checks could be mailed to charities instead of hand-delivered.
Emily Knight is cross-stitching pin badges for the sisters who would like one. We will be raffling a quilt this year as one of our service projects.
A letter from Teen Leadership was read. We will decide next month whether to donate a sponsorship for a child this summer.
Delores Hutchins informed us of the Council’s plans for Founder’s Day on April 28. It will be held at the Loring Job Corps ballroom. The theme this year is “Mama Mia.”
Personal care packages were assembled for the homeless shelter and the Hope and Justice Project both in Presque Isle.
Next meeting will be at Paula Flora’s on April 7, at 7 p.m.
