Donate soccer equipment to those in need

Are your closets filled with old soccer equipment? Give it to players in need!
As part of a community service project, 10-year old Hope Shea of Caribou is collecting new and gently used soccer gear through the United States Soccer Foundation’s Passback Program.
The Passback Program is designed to help meet the soccer uniform and equipment needs of all players in all communities. Collected equipment will be redistributed to disadvantaged areas throughout the world.
The primary collection point for donations will be The Children’s Closet Consignment Sale at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Caribou April 30 and May 1. Drop-offs may be made between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day.
Collection points have also been set up with several area recreation departments. Donations can be dropped off during regular business hours at recreation centers in Houlton, Mars Hill, Easton, Presque Isle, Caribou and Madawaska.
For more information, please contact Hope Shea or her parents, Becky and Mark Shea, at 207-498-8424.
