As animal owners we all love our pets, and in no way shape or form do we want any harm to come to them. As a dog owner you are putting your pet in harms way when you allow your dog to ride on the back of a pick up truck or in any vehicle. Also, Houlton has a town ordinance that states when you are off your property, you the owner of a dog, must immediately remove and lawfully dispose of any feces left by your dog on any street, sideway, public owned property or private property of another. Town Ordinance Article II Control of Dogs: Sec. 3-202 Sub-3.
