LITTLE FARMERS

The Lil Farmers at the Fair Farmers Market marked its inaugural appearance at the Northern Maine Fair in Presque Isle this week, welcoming youth ages 3-10 to learn a bit about farming and getting goods to market. Children are given aprons and a basket to collect various goods, including apples, eggs and milk, as they make their way through the exhibit. Pictured gathering fruit are Evan Ouellette, 2, reaching for a big, red apple, and his big brother, Adam Ouellette, 5. The boys were enjoying a day at the fair on Saturday, accompanied by their mother, Danielle Ouellette, of Fort Kent.
