MADAWASKA, Maine — A woman was arrested Wednesday on drug trafficking charges, according to Madawaska Police Chief Jamie Pelletier.

Angelina Dube, 31, of Madawaska was charged with aggravated furnishing of a scheduled drug and trafficking of a scheduled drug, Pelletier said in a press release posted on social media.

The arrest was made in collaboration with both the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and the U.S. Border Patrol. Officers executed a search warrant on Wednesday and found methamphetamine, prescription pills and large sums of cash in Dube’s home.

Dube was arrested and transported to the Aroostook County Jail.

Police also arrested Charity Deschaines, 35, of Van Buren and Jeremiah Knox, 28, of Van Buren, who were at Dube’s residence at the time, for outstanding warrants.

Another individual, Brian Dumais, 55, of Fort Kent, was also charged with violating conditions of release and unlawful possession of methamphetamine as a result of further investigation.

As of Thursday afternoon, all four are still incarcerated at Aroostook County Jail.

The department in their post thanked all the involved agencies.

“The Madawaska Police Department continues to investigate drug activity in the area and encourages community members to report suspicious activity to local law enforcement,” Pelletier said.
