CLIC, the Chiputneticook Lakes International Conservancy, will hold its fourth annual lake-wide yard sale from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20. The location is the western side of Route 1 in Orient, just north of the cut-off for the Orient-Fosterville border crossing, on the site where Bartlett’s store stood until a fire burnt it to the ground a few years ago. In addition to the tables filled with items donated to benefit CLIC, at least five other tables will hold no-longer-wanted treasures from people’s camps on either side of East Grand Lake and from non-lake houses in Orient. One table will benefit the Orient Food Pantry.
When the first lake-wide yard sale was held in mid-August 2008, the tables stretched for more than 100 yards.
For information about the yard sale, call Don Ellis is 207 448 2924. There will be no sales prior to 9 a.m.
