The solution to storage problems
Ever wish you had a safe place to store that boat, ATV, extra car or any number of keepsakes but just don’t have a garage or the one you have is already filled to capacity?
Storage Solutions is the answer to all your storage problems, personal or commercial, according to owners Shawn Manter and Curt Paterson, who purchased the business six years ago.
Located at 52 Houlton Rd., Presque Isle, Storage Solutions boasts 329 units, ranging from 5-foot by 10-foot, up to units 10-foot by 30-foot by 14-feet high.
“The large units would be good for campers or larger trucks,” said Paterson.
Surveillance equipment and lighting provide added safety on site. Unlike many other facilities in Aroostook County, the owners said someone will be on hand during business hours to provide assistance to customers.
“Whether someone needs a hand unloading a cherished item or would just feel safer having one of us escort them to their unit, Curt and I are here to do whatever we can for our customers,” said Manter. “It’s a huge advantage for us — the fact we’ll have someone here, we have security cameras, it’s well lit and the driveway is paved.”
“We offer clean, safe and secure self-storage at an affordable rate,” said Paterson.
The business employs three full-time and one part-time and takes pride in serving customers.
“Without strong customer service, this business, like many in Aroostook, wouldn’t exist. With a rural area, it’s extremely important to treat everyone like your best customer — because they are. We’re on site if customers need help. If you have a problem with your storage unit, we’re here to assist. In the past, we we’ve had customers with heavy items they couldn’t unload and we were able to help them store their items safely,” said Manter.
According to Paterson and Manter, customers get their money’s worth.
“Our price compared to the quality of our offerings is very reasonable. Although our self-storage facility is state-of-the-art — paved driveways, security system and on-site staff — our prices are still extremely competitive with other area self-storage facilities,” said Paterson.
