    HODGDON – Gordon L. Tidd, 75, died Sept. 5, 2011, in Bangor. He was born April 17, 1936, son of William and Nellie (Alward) Tidd.
    He served in the Army National Guard, worked at Houlton Water Co. for 36 years and several other part-time jobs after his retirement. He enjoyed family gatherings, camping, traveling and trapping with his father.
    He is survived by his wife, Paula (Merrill) Tidd of Hodgdon; four children, Randy Tidd and his wife, Ann, and Lisha Tidd, all of Hodgdon, Dennis Tidd and his wife, Barbara, of Houlton and Denise Chaloux and her husband, Gilbert, of Hodgdon; stepchildren, Tim Bossie and his wife, Kelly, of East Millinocket and Karen Murray and her husband, Rick, of New Brunswick; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Darrell Tidd and his wife, Gerry, of Hodgdon; sister, Ramona Hagerman of Naples, Maine; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; and a sister, Jeanette Beaulieu.
    Friends called 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton. Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Friday at Hodgdon Baptist Church, 846 Calais Road, Hodgdon, with the Rev.
