The Manes and Tails bottle drive fundraiser is countywide to benefit all of Aroostook with services supporting tuition costs for special needs children and families to attend Equine Assisted Services in Aroostook County.
“This is an act of love and belief in the success of equine therapies, although labor intensive and even frustrating. We are not giving up,” stated a small group of volunteers known as the Manes and Tails (a non-profit) committee, at a meeting in Presque Isle Feb. 7.

HELPING OUT — Kim Svitek of Tractor Supply Company in Houlton helps with the recent Manes and Tails scholarship fund bottle drive.
Manes and Tails is accepting bottles and cans at farms and public places like Tractor Supply Stores in Presque Isle and Houlton, the Monticello town office and Aroostook Horse and Pony Associates in Monticello.
