Wrestling at the Forum set for this weekend

PRESQUE ISLE — Big Time Wrestling returns to Presque Isle this Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Forum.

Headlining this event will be several legends of professional wrestling. Topping the list of superstars will be Ron Simmons. Simmons is a former WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Known for his hard-hitting, brawling style, Simmons defeated Big Van Vader to reach the pinnacle of the wrestling world.

Simmons may even be better known for his time in the WWE. He competed as Faarooq and teamed with Bradshaw to make one of the best-known tag teams, the A.P.A. Protection Agency.  Simmons is 2012 WWE Hall of Fame member.

“When Big Time returns to Presque Isle, we are going to make sure every fan has the time of their life,” said Big Time Wrestling representative Steve Perkins. “We are going to have two members of the WWE Hall of Fame in Sunny and Ron Simmons. We are also going to see the Nasty Boys do what they do best, a street fight. The fans can see Maine’s own Scufflin’ Hillbillies defend their titles. Fans are also going to see Sunny and Divas, a battle royal and I’m sure Ron Simmons will be a factor.”

In addition to the Presque Isle Forum, advance tickets are also available at York’s Bookstores in Houlton, Dodo’s Market in Caribou, and Ouelette’s Trading Post in Van Buren. Prices range from $15 for a general admission ticket to $75 for a VIP Pass. Tickets will also be available at the door the day of the show.
