Junior Achievement looking for volunteers

Junior Achievement (JA) of Aroostook County needs volunteers for the upcoming fall semester to teach classes in area elementary, middle and high schools. JA mentors educate students about free enterprise, financial literacy, workforce readiness and entrepreneurship.
“We reached 396 students last year in Aroostook County, but we still have JA Program requests from educators in many schools that need to be fulfilled,” said Jill Jamison, area board operations director. “JA provides all the training, material and support you need, including detailed lesson plans and the resources needed to lead activities.”
Volunteer opportunities are available at three levels and require approximately one hour per week for five to seven sessions, depending on the program.
For almost 50 years, Junior Achievement of Maine has been inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy.
