CARIBOU – Annette Marie (St. Jean) Theriault, 82, went to be with the Lord after a long courageous battle with Alzheimer’s on October 16, 2012, at approximately 10:50 p.m., at the Caribou Nursing Home, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 28, 1930, the daughter of the late Adelard St. Jean and Alpheda (Ouellette) St. Jean of St. Francis, N.B.
Annette worked for over 20 years at a Fort Kent hospital in the nursery where she worked as a CNA caring for all the moms and babies. She was a loving, caring, devoted and selfless mother and grandmother who sacrificed many things to be with family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had many hobbies which included cooking for everyone, playing cards, gardening, watching the NBA on TV and also had a great love for line dancing. Her biggest love of all though was her family and her career as a CNA.
Annette will be remembered by two sons, Robert Theriault and his wife, Lorraine of Peoria, AZ, and Micheal Theriault of Bethany, CT; Two daughters, Mona St. Jean of Caribou and Lisa Theriault and her husband, Brad of Caribou; a sister, Marie-May Nadeau of Clair, N.B. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Bobby Theriault, Danielle Theriault, Matthew Theriault, Megan Theriault and Amy Trombley; three great-grandchildren, Schuyler Smith, Caleb Trombley and Nevaeh Trombley; and several nieces and nephews who live in various states including Maine and Canada.
She was predeceased by her former husband, Leonard Theriault from Fort Kent who passed away in the spring of 2000; all her brothers, Bill, Reno, Charley, Arthur and Jean Claude; and a son, Daniel Theriault, his wife, Candace, and daughter, Jennifer, all of Leominster, MA.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated 11 a.m., Friday, October 19, 2012, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Parish of the Precious Blood, Caribou, with Rev. Raymond Morency celebrant. Friends called 10 a.m. until time of service at the church. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute to the Alzheimer’s Association Maine Chapter, 383 US Route One, Suite 2c, Scarborough, ME 04074.
