    PRESQUE ISLE – Barbara Bess, 81, passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at the Aroostook Health Center in Mars Hill. She was born on Feb. 17, 1931, in Caribou, the daughter of Charles and Hazel McLaughlin. Barbara worked for Colombia Forest Products and McCain Foods.
    She is survived by four sons: James Alley of Fort Fairfield, Charles Alley of Presque Isle, Edgar Alley and his wife, Bonnie of Mapleton, Eric Alley and his wife, Roxanne of Stockholm; four daughters: Donna Richardson and her husband, Weldon of Castle Hill, Genice Turner and her husband, Stephen of Leominster, MA, Susan LeFave and her husband, Stephen of Las Vegas, NV, and Cheryl Dyer of Presque Isle; a sister, Betty Dow of Mars Hill; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
    A memorial service will be held 3 p.m., Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with Rev. Ron Chaffee officiating.
