Introducing luxurious Larry

This is Larry, and he is residing in a Halfway Home Pet Rescue foster home. He is an approximately 10-week-old mixed Maine coon with feathery, soft, long black hair with faint touches of white at some tips. Many people think he has had his hair frosted or streaked, but he was born this handsome. Please notice the beauty mark on the right side of his mouth. Larry has been wormed, had his first distemper vaccination and has been Revolution treated, which is a 30-parasite prevention treatment. He is very playful, curious and is not afraid of anything. He is very clean and never has missed the litter box. He enjoys being brushed and loved. He has a lot of self-confidence and enjoys other cats and humans. His adoption fee is $55 and includes a spay voucher for surgery when he is older.

It has been a busy week at HHPR. Along with the usual activities, we adopted out three adult cats and four kittens, and were delighted to find the owners of two of our feline residents—happy people and happy cats! We celebrated with them as going home is always a day of blessing. We spayed another seven females and neutered one male this week; took in four adult cats and five kittens. We took in a male, Bubba, who needed eye surgery, and Bubba is recovering very well and is a very good patient. On Thursday we rescued a cat on Lyndon St. with a severely infected and old leg injury that could not be repaired, so that little one has had to have his front leg amputated. Many cats thrive in spite of this type of disability, and as a feline rescue and rehabilitation center, it is always our mission to get all appropriate medical care for our animals.

The Free Pet Food Pantry will be closed until further notice. When food is available, we will contact those on our list in the greatest need. If you do not receive a call, it means that no food is available for you at this time. Adoption events are scheduled every Saturday afternoon from 12-3 p.m. We will continue with the $5 adoption fee for our adult cats, who are all leukemia/AIDS tested, spayed/neutered, distemper and rabies vaccinations, wormed and Revolution treated.
