CARIBOU, Maine — Mr. Pelletier, Mrs. Bouchard, Ms. Lajoie and Mrs. Heidorn are pleased to announce that Molly McCrossin is one of the sixth-grade Students of the Month for February. McCrossin’s teachers say she is a very outgoing young lady. She is a great friend to all and always strives to do her best in class. McCrossin plays the violin and is enthusiastic about her goals as a violinist. She ran cross-country as part of CMS’ team in the fall and has been a cheerleader at the rec this winter. McCrossin is a high honor roll student and, her teachers say, a true joy to have in class.
The sixth-grade teachers have also chosen Gabe Rand as Student of the Month for February. According to his teachers, Rand is a friendly student with a great sense of humor. He has good classroom management skills and is always organized. Rand is a homeroom representative for Student Organization, an honor roll student, and part of the Gifted and Talented Program. Rand was also a manager for the sixth and seventh grade basketball team this winter. He enjoys playing basketball, tennis and baseball.
The seventh-grade teachers are pleased to announce that Adrieanna Damboise has been selected as a February Student of the Month. Damboise’s teachers say she is a wonderful student who is consistently prepared, organized and conscientious. Damboise is always striving for excellence and is willing to put forth the effort for continued improvement. She understands that hard work results in positive rewards. In the past two years, Damboise has taken initiative to become a successful middle school student. Damboise is sensitive to others’ feelings and loves her family and school. She balances academics and cheerleading responsibilities and is well liked by her teachers and peers, they said.
Nic Sleeper has been selected as a February Student of the Month for grade seven. According to his teachers, Sleeper is a tremendous student leader at Caribou Middle School. Students benefit greatly from his in-depth classroom analysis and discussion. Sleeper is an excellent role model and a solid school citizen. He is very active at CMS and also volunteers to work and help the school in any way he can. Sleeper participates in the school band, is a student representative for grade seven and is an all-around athlete.
Madeline Gudde has been selected as an eighth-grade Student of the Month for February. Gudde’s teachers say she continues to demonstrate her ability to balance academics and extracurricular activities. She successfully manages classes and band as well as skiing and cross-country. Her dedication and positive attitude can be observed every day in everything she does. Gudde is a well-respected friend and student. She is always willing and ready to help her teachers and fellow classmates. Gudde’s teachers believe she is a great role model for everyone at CMS.
Tamarra Walsh has been selected as an eighth-grade Student of the Month. Walsh’s teachers say she strives to succeed in all her academic endeavors to the best of her abilities. Her positive attitude, kindness to her peers and teaching staff and dependability are her greatest assets in helping her achieve this award. Outside of the classroom, Walsh is an active participant on the CMS cheerleading squad that won the County championship this season. It is with great pride that the eighth-grade teaching staff acknowledges Walsh for all her hard work at CMS.
