HOULTON — The Maine State Police Troop F barracks weekly report for incidents covering Monday, April 1 to Sunday, April 7 includes the following incidents in the Houlton Pioneer Times coverage area.
Monday, April 1
• Trooper Casavant responded to a motor vehicle crash on Interstate 95 in Sherman. A 29-year-old Bangor woman was traveling southbound when she lost control of her vehicle. The woman over corrected and crossed into the passing lane and into the median. The vehicle traveled through the median striking trees and ending on the northbound side. The woman suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash and was transported to Houlton Regional Hospital by ambulance. Casavant was assisted by trooper Sylvia.
Tuesday, April 2
• Trooper Monahan responded to a burglary/theft in Hodgdon where a large amount of cash was stolen. It appears to have inside connections and Monahan has developed suspects that have agreed to take a polygraph test and Monahan will be working on arranging those.
Wednesday, April 3
• Trooper Clark responded to a domestic assault in Cary. A 54-year-old female reported that her 56-year-old husband bit her on the neck. She reported that they had been arguing about his family and that later on in the day she reached across the table to get something and he bit her on the neck. The man left the residence. While interviewing her, Clark noticed a vehicle pull into the end of the driveway and back out and continue down the road. Clark stopped the vehicle and confirmed the operator was the husband involved. The man was arrested for Domestic Violence Assault.
• Trooper Saucier responded to an Island Falls apartment complex after the owner reported a previously evicted 47-year-old male had returned and barricaded himself in his old apartment. Trooper Lilley had arrested the same male on March 28 for the same violations. The male eventually answered the door and was arrested for criminal trespass, criminal mischief and
bail violation. He has a lengthy criminal record and is a convicted sex offender.
