Take Off Pounds Sensibly Chapter 0233 of Houlton met at the Aldergate building on High Street for its Friday, April 12 meeting.
Diane Folsom, leader, was in charge. Diane had everyone read a ‘’Never Quit’’ pledge. Fifteen members were in attendance with four KOPS (Keep Off Pounds Sensibly). Loser of the week was Diane Folsom with Barbara Troy as runner-up.
The skinny dish was held over for another week. Charlotte Marley gave an overview of the workshop held in Van Buren April 5. Besides Charlotte, Diane, Shirley Ethier, Joanne Scott and Denise Clark attended. The next workshop will be in Caribou June 1.
Next on the agenda was the installation of new officers with Barbara Troy as installing officer, Lois Downing as her helper. Installed were: Diane as leader; secretary, Cheryl Driscoll; Janette Nelson, treasurer; Joanne Scott and Denise Clark, co-weight recorders. Candles were lighted as each accepted their responsibility.
