STEYAERT, Shaun Peter, 23 months, BERRYVILLE, VA, May 11, 2013. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 16, at the Funeral Home. Arrangements are in the care of Enders & Shirley Funeral Home, Berryville, VA.

    BERRYVILLE, VA – Shaun Peter Steyaert, 23 months, joined his sister, Sarah, in Heaven on May 11, 2013. Our Champion passed peacefully in the arms of his parents at the PICU at UVA Medical Center after fighting hard against the incurable Mitochondrial DNA Depletion Syndrome.
    He was the cherished son of Peter & Denise Steyaert, and beloved brother of Stephen and Scottie, (and grandson of Mari & Tim Cochran, Maine), and was adored by all who knew him. Shaun enjoyed music and singing, and gave us a lifetime of unconditional love during his short time on earth.
    A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 16, at Enders & Shirley Funeral Home, Berryville, VA. Visitation at 2 p.m. and service at 4 p.m. Please wear a superman (SuperShaun) t-shirt to celebrate Shaun’s heroic battle.
