Easton celebrates Field Days

    The annual summer festival in Easton kicked off this week with the annual basketball tournament.

Taking part in the girls’ tournament were teams from: Washburn, Hodgdon, Fort Fairfield and Easton high schools. Competing in the boys’ single elimination tournament were: Ashland, Easton, Mars Hill and Washburn. Congratulations to the Washburn High School boys’ and girls’ teams for winning the tournaments and to Easton men and ladies who were runners-up. More Field Days’ results and updates will appear in next week’s edition.

Rec Department

    Wednesday, July 10 — Free field trip to Turner’s Camp. Please be sure your child has swimsuit, sunscreen and towel. It would be greatly appreciated if parents could send snacks and drinks. Your child must be a strong swimmer to attend this trip; floatation devices are required for everyone to board the bus. Wear blue Rec shirts.
Major League Baseball at home  vs. Limestone. Players should be at the field no later than 5:10 p.m.
Tee-ball 6 p.m. on the field behind the high school. This is a parent-run program, please get out there and “play” with your kids.
Thursday, July 11 — Summer day camp; we will be celebrating Easter with egg hunts, egg dyeing and more! 9:30 a.m. to noon. Breakfast and lunch provided.
Golf camp; departing from the Hall at 12:10 p.m. and returning at 2:45 p.m.
Swimming at Fort Fairfield Pool, departing from the Hall at 12:45 p.m. and returning at 3:15 p.m. Must be able to swim the width of the pool or be accompanied by an adult/child care provider.
Minor League game at Mars Hill at 5:30 p.m. Children should be at the field at CAHS by 5:10 p.m.
Friday, July 12 — Swimming lesson; departing from the Hall at 8:30 a.m. and returning by 10:15 a.m. Pre-registration required. Open to ages 4 and up.
Playgroup at the Hall from 10:30-11:45 a.m. Lunch provided.
Sr. Game Day at the Manor starting at 11 a.m. Please bring a bag lunch.
Golf  Camp 12:10-2:45 p.m.
Sunday, July 14 — Co-ed Softball 5:45 and 7 p.m. on the field near tennis courts.
