fourth annual Toast for the Animals

Mark your calendars! Friends of CAHS, Momentum Aroostook and The Crow’s Nest will be hosting the fourth annual Toast for the Animals fund-raising on Friday, Nov. 22, from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Crow’s Nest Restaurant and Event Center in Presque Isle.
This exciting event has fast become the shelter’s largest annual fundraiser and we are hoping that this year is no exception! Right now we are currently in the planning stages of this year’s event and we will keep you informed as plans are finalized, auction items are collected and the tickets go on sale.
At this time we are looking for volunteers, sponsors and donations! Are you an artisan or crafter, do you collect antiques, or do you own a business from which you would like to donate an auction item? We are also looking for sponsors from individuals, families or businesses! For a $100 sponsorship you will receive two tickets to the event, recognition on our Facebook page and recognition the night of the event. Money from sponsorship is incredibly important in determining the success of this fundraiser, as it helps us to underwrite the costs of putting on the “Toast.”

If you have never attended Toast for the Animals, we hope that you will consider joining us this year. For the first three years of this event we have had a wine tasting but this year we have decided to try something new. This year we will be holding a beer tasting featuring four different Maine made brews! You must be 21 years of age to attend.
Your purchase of a $15 ticket will provide you with four drink tickets to sample the different beers, there will be delicious hors d’oeuvRes and parings, live entertainment, a chance to win a door prize and most importantly you will receive an auction bid number to bid on our fantastic silent auction items!
The proceeds from this event go directly to the Central Aroostook Humane Society in Presque Isle. This year we are focusing our fund-raising efforts on capital improvements for our building. A few of the improvements that are needed at this time are more efficient windows and doors, interior walls that are in need of repair or replacement and the concrete pad in the outdoor dog kennel needs to be repaired.
While we may not raise enough money to tackle all of these improvements at once, the money we raise this year with your support will give us a good start! So spread the news that the fourth annual Toast for the Animals is taking place Nov. 22 at The Crow’s Nest in Presque Isle. We can’t wait to see you then!
