PRESQUE ISLE — A local man is facing multiple charges following a police chase on Saturday evening.
“Presque Isle Police Officer Ryan Eagles arrested Keith Tingley Jr., 46, of 5 Verone St., after a brief vehicle chase on Dragon Drive the evening of Oct. 11. The vehicle ultimately stopped and the driver bailed out and fled on foot,” posted Sgt. Eric Erickson on the Presque Isle Police Department’s Facebook page.
Tingley was wanted for failing to report to the Aroostook County Jail on Oct. 10.
“Tingley was located outside his residence. Officer Eagles arrested him for escape (not turning himself in at the Aroostook County Jail),” said Erickson.
Tingley was summonsed for the following offenses: escape, attaching false plates, eluding an officer and criminal simulation (for attaching a registration sticker from another legally registered vehicle to the illegal plate), as well as a variety of other traffic-related offenses.
A second man was also located with Tingley and summonsed for offenses not related to the chase.
“Taylor Lovely, 26, (identified as a white male from 738 State Road in Mapleton), was also in the vehicle with Tingley and summonsed for unrelated charges,” said Erickson.
If anyone has any additional information concerning Tingley or Lovely, call the PIPD at 764-4476.
