“Corporately, Katahdin Trust gives much back to our communities, and we’re proud and privileged to do so,” said Jon J. Prescott, president and CEO. “But it’s equally gratifying to know that our employees share this care and concern and give many hours of their personal time, to create a higher quality of life in our communities.”
The bank’s 198 employees rolled up their sleeves outside the confines of the bank to invest over 10,000 hours of volunteer service for a host of civic, charitable, church, educational and economic development organizations.
Prescott applauded his employees for sharing a common thread of commitment to serving others. “The volunteer efforts of our employees ranged from coaching little league teams to ringing bells for the Salvation Army during the Christmas season,” he said. “Others offer their service on the Boards of local hospitals, colleges and other civic organizations.”
