Lisa and Morgan are just two of the 20 happy and healthy kittens residing at the Halfway Home Pet Rescue Adoption Center at 489 Main Street in Caribou. Several other kittens are still in foster care homes and will be ready for adoption in a few weeks. The adoption fee for a kitten is $75, which includes a spay/neuter voucher for when the kitten is old enough for surgery. “If a family adopts two kittens, the total cost is discounted to $115 for the two together and includes the vouchers,” explained HHPR President Norma Milton. Adoption fairs are held from noon to 3 p.m. each Saturday or by special appointment. The Pet Rescue is in great need of Purina Kitten Chow, Purina Cat Chow (blue bag-marked complete) and non-scoopable cat litter of which Fresh Step is a favorite brand. They are also looking for an additional three volunteers to help run their thrift store. FMI: Call 999-1075
