BROOKLINE, Mass. – John A. Lagassie of Brookline, formerly of Boston and Caribou, passsed away on January 19, 2015.
He was a devoted son of the late Patrick and Jeannette (Gauvin) Lagassie, and dear brother of Donald D. Lagassie and wife, Barbara, of New Haven, IN, and the late Sr. Mary Ann Lagassie and Sr. Lucille Lagassie, both of the Presentation of Mary, Methuen, MA. John is also survived by his seven nieces and nephews and their families.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, January 23 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 5 Linden Pl., Brookline. Relatives and friends were kindly invited. Visiting hours were omitted. Interment was in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, at 12:30 p.m. Late Army Veteran serving in the Honor Guard at Arlington National Cemetery.
He was retired from the U.S.P.O. South Postal Facility, Watertown and Boston University branches, and retired from the Boston Public Library.
