Note that the Town Office will be closed all day on Wednesday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day.

The Mapleton United Methodist Church will host a chicken pot pie supper on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 5-6:30 p.m. in the church dining room. The meal is $8 for adults and $4 for children. All are welcome to attend.

Senior Citizens

The Mapleton, Castle Hill and Chapman Seniors meet every Monday at 11:30 a.m. at the Lions Hall on Main Street in Mapleton.
Their last meeting included a potluck lunch and business meeting. After the meeting, the group enjoyed exploring adult coloring, each selecting a picture and using colored pencils to complete their “masterpieces.”
Some of the upcoming programs include a stained glass presentation by Wayne Kennard, who will be giving each person present a small sample gift; an attorney speaking about free legal services for the elderly; and one meeting will feature a demonstration on card making. The goal is to schedule that in before Christmas so the group can use what they learn to make holiday cards.
All seniors are welcome to join the Monday meetings. Just bring a dish to share and your own place setting. For more information, call Judy at 764-5832.
