Littleton shop rents trucks

LITTLETON — Individuals looking for additional ways to move items now have another local option as the Littleton Pit Stop has partnered with U-Haul.

Littleton Pit Stop at 1678 U.S. Hwy. 1 will offer U-Haul trucks, trailers, towing equipment, support rental items and in-store pickup for boxes.

Littleton Pit Stop owner Gordon Hagerman said he was proud to team up with one of the industry’s leading moving and self-storage brands to meet the demands of residents in southern Aroostook County.

According to the press release, U-Haul and Littleton Pit Stop are striving to benefit the environment through sustainability initiatives. Truck sharing is a core U-Haul sustainability business practice that allows individuals to access a fleet of trucks that is larger than what they could access on an individual basis, the release states.

Every U-Haul truck placed in a community helps keep 19 personally-owned large-capacity vehicles, pickups, SUVs and vans off the road. Fewer vehicles means less traffic congestion, less pollution, less fuel burned and cleaner air.

Customers are also encouraged to take a picture in front of a U-Haul product, send it to the company. A few lucky individuals will be selected to have their face on the side of a U-Haul truck. The hours of operation for U-Haul rentals at the Littleton Pit Stop are 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Reserve U-Haul products at this dealer location by calling (207) 254-4169 or visiting https://www.uhaul.com/Locations/Truck-Rentals-near-Littleton-ME-04730/042254/.
