ASHLAND, ME — It was a quiet night on the hardwood Tuesday, with just one game played. Greater Houlton Christian Academy traveled to Ashland and picked up a 43-35 victory.

Freshman Austin Winslow led the Eagles with 12 points, while freshman Will Austin added nine points and sophomores Isaac Potter and Cole Winslow each had seven.

Steven Bellanceau paced Ashland with 14 points.

“The team played well and overcame a tough Ashland squad,” GHCA coach Justin Spears said. “The boys were coming off a week break in-between games which can be a change from the normal grind. But they were able to stay focused on the task at hand and get a win. It was a good team effort by everyone.”

On Wednesday (today), the Southern Aroostook boys and girls travel to East Grand of Danforth for a doubleheader. The girls’ game tips off at 5 p.m. followed by the boys at 6:30 p.m.

Katahdin is traveling to Greenville for a boys/girls doubleheader at 4 p.m. (girls) and 5:30 p.m. (boys).
