CARIBOU, Maine — The next County Challenge Series race is the Musterd Mile, to be held Friday, July 21.

The race originally was planned for July 7, but inclement weather forced the postponement.

Registration begins at 6 p.m. at Caribou High School, with the downhill race beginning at 7 p.m. and ending near Monica’s Scandinavian Gift Shop one mile later.

There are no fees, “just a chance to set a personal record for the mile,” according to race director P.J. Gorneault.

Evan Graves of Caribou won the 2016 version in 4 minutes and 39 seconds. Teagan Ewings of Houlton was the fastest female, coming in at 5:51.5. Forty eight runners participated.

The Musterd Mile is the fifth of nine races in the County Challenge Racing Series.
