ISLAND FALLS, Maine — Townspeople lined Main Street Sunday for the annual Island Falls Summerfest parade. The parade heralds the end of the weeklong Summerfest celebration in the community.
This year’s theme was “Down on the Farm” with parade entrants encouraged to decorate their floats with this concept. Little Steps, Big Dreams Day Care won first place for its float featuring youngsters from the daycare.
The Noyes Family captured second place for it clown, farm family entry and third place went to the Island Falls Historical Society.
