Searles, Bosse and Theriault take kart series feature races

CARIBOU, Maine — Northern Maine Karting Series racing continued at Spud Speedway Friday, Aug. 11. The next competition and final points race of the summer is on Aug. 25 at 6:30 p.m. and the season finale, a non-points invitational, is set for Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. 

Highlighting the action at the latest competition was the close finish in the Aroostook Trusses Junior Cage Kart heat race as Hunter Bennett of Prospect beat Presque Isle’s Bryan Searles by mere inches.

In the feature race, Searles was the winner, with Bennett taking second and Gage Theriault of Limestone ending up third.

Other results saw Parker Bosse of Limestone win the Blacked Out Window Tint Kids Kart division over Kayden Haines of Caribou, while Damian Theriault of Caribou took the Aroostook Savings and Loan Senior Cage Division. He was followed by Jason Theriault of Caribou and Tom Hale of Westmanland.

The cost is $10 for pit admission and there is no charge for race viewing from the grandstands.
