County Physical Therapy moves to new Houlton location

HOULTON, Maine — To better meet the needs of its clientele, County Physical Therapy, LLC has moved its Houlton outpatient clinic.

Previously located next to TD Bank, CPT has relocated its clinic to a recently renovated site at 98 Bangor St., adjacent to Harbison Plumbing and Heating. CPT has been providing physical and occupational therapy and other rehabilitation services in Aroostook County since 1987, and has operated a clinic in Houlton since 2001.

“We had outgrown our previous space in Houlton,” said Richard Ezzy, CPT general manager in a press release. “We feel the new location will be more comfortable, not only for the patients, but for our employees as well.

“The new location provides an increase in usable treatment space by more than 50 percent, which will create a more inviting and functional area for treatment and rehab exercises,” he added. “In addition to the larger treatment area, the new location offers an increase in private exam rooms, and an improvement to the layout and patient flow, including the parking and street access.”

County Physical Therapy’s mission is to provide the rehab care needed to return patients “to the most functional lifestyle possible. This includes work duties, recreation and sports, and activities of daily living,” according to its website.

With the move also came some new equipment. Clinic Director and Physical Therapist PJ Madore said he was excited about the change.

“This is a big upgrade in our facility,” Madore said. “Feedback and reaction from patients has already been very positive.”

“We realize that patients have a choice as to if and where they get therapy,” Ezzy said. “We already have a great team of caring and experienced therapists in place, and now we have a top-notch facility to go along.”

Ezzy added that while CPT will not initially increase its staffing at the new location, the business now has the space and equipment to expand should demand for their services increase.
