The Caribou Public Library, 30 High Street, is gearing up for another festive holiday season.
The public is invited to listen to the String Ensemble, George and Friends, play classical Christmas music. George and Friends have delighted library patrons for several years. This year’s event is on Tuesday, December 19 from 5:30-7 pm in the Piper Reading Room. George and Friends is an all-string ensemble consisting of five musicians playing the cello, viola, and three violins. They delight audiences all around the Central Aroostook Area and will be a great way to usher in the week leading up to Christmas. This program is open to all and free of charge.
On Wednesday, December 20, join The Aroostook Paranormal Investigation Society and the Caribou Public Library for a special event for children of all ages. A few Santa’s elves from the North Pole will instruct children with activities and games, food, and fun. Each child will be awarded diplomas signed by Santa upon completion of their projects. In addition, children will be able to write letters to Santa and put them in a special mailbox so he will get them in plenty of time before Christmas Eve. This program is free and open to all children.
On Thursday, December 21, the Creative arts club is having a Christmas party for their art club members and friends in the Caribou Room from 3:30-4:30 pm. Stop by for art talk and Christmas cake!
