DYER BROOK, Maine — A 68-year-old Oakfield man was not injured Tuesday afternoon when his vehicle rolled over on U.S. Route 2.

Roland Kennedy was traveling north on U.S. Route 2 around 1:30 p.m. when he lost control of his 2006 Suzuki Sport Utility Vehicle on the snow and ice covered road, according to Aroostook County Sheriff Darrell Crandall.

Deputy Alishia Ledger was on patrol when she came upon the crash.

Crandall said Kennedy’s vehicle left the roadway, went into a ditch and rolled over, coming to rest on the driver’s side of the vehicle. The driver was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and was not injured.

His vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
