RICHARD ‘DICK’ KNEELAND, LITTLETON – Richard ‘Dick’ Kneeland, 67, passed away at home on Thursday, February 8, 2018. He was born on April 13, 1950, in Littleton, the son Hazen and Irene (Weed) Kneeland.
He grew up in Littleton and graduated from Houlton High School. He then enlisted in the United States Army and while serving his country, Richard learned his skills for his lifelong career. He worked for many years as a diesel mechanic, and was owner and operator of Dick’s Diesel in Littleton. He loved his loyal dogs and was rarely seen without them. Dick had a knack for telling stories and was known to be a practical joker who loved to make people laugh.
He is survived by the love of his life of twenty-five years, Karen of Littleton; three children, Crystal Cole and significant other, Matthew McGary, of Littleton, and Randy Kneeland and his wife, Kendra, of Houlton, Ashley of Sanford; four grandchildren, Dawson, Addison, Walker, and Davan, and one more on the way, Brandon. He also leaves behind a sister, Wanda Moore, his father-in-law, Glen, sisters-in-law, Wanda and her husband, Danny, Terri and her significant other, Adam, and a brother-in-law, Randy. Dick was loved by many people, had many friends and will be greatly missed by all. In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by three siblings, Dana, Linda, and Wayne.
A celebration of Dick’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at the Meduxnekeag Ramblers on the Wiley Rd., Littleton.
