HOULTON, Maine — Well we finally made it. With Memorial Weekend here, we can look forward to the start of summer. Warm weather is upon us and the golf course is benefiting. The grass is greening up and fairways are drying out. The driving range is groomed, ready for your attendance to spend some time on improving your game.

Our Golf for Life program is into its third week and David says the participants are really enjoying it. Men’s Twilight League matches will begin June 4. Twenty two man teams to play each Monday thru the summer.

Ladies Association began Tuesday, May 29, with a scramble. Next Tuesday they will play nine hole matches and then gather for food and conversation. The Memorial Four Person Scramble will be held on June 2 at 1 p.m. There is still room to get your team signed up. Proceeds will go to help offset costs of flowers and landscaping. This is open to all players. Call the proshop or better yet, stop in and put your name on the list.

The Lakeside Restaurant is open and in full swing. There will be a private party at the restaurant on Wednesday so it will be closed for seating, but they will be serving pub menu in the bar and deck. And don’t forget our quiet location for a casual lunch.

As the weather improves, come on out to the course and play nine. We’ll see you on the course.
