LOIS MACDONALD, OAKFIELD AND WATERVILLE – Lois MacDonald, 87, died peacefully on February 25, 2018, in Augusta surrounded by family. Lois was born on November 16, 1930, in Oakfield, ME, the daughter of John W. and Olive (Sanders) Clark.
Lois spent much of her life with her husband, Bud, in Houlton and Connecticut, later moving to Oakfield to live at Spaulding Lake. She was an active member of her church, often bringing her grandchildren during their visits. Lois was a member of the Smokey Haulers Snowmobile Club, where she and her husband celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Whenever family and friends visited, Lois enjoyed entertaining and cooking dinners. She always had a good time dancing and playing cards. No-one could figure out how, but Lois always seemed to end up with the aces. Lois and her husband made the lake their home, and she will always be remembered for the way she loved her family unconditionally.
Lois is survived by her husband of 67 years, Bernard (Bud) David MacDonald; her son, David MacDonald; son-in-law, Jeffrey Kendall, Sr.; grandchildren, Jeffrey Kendall Jr., Stacey Parise (Kendall), Tamarac MacDonald, Justin MacDonald, and Jennifer McNamara; great-grandchildren, Isabella Kendall and Aiden Parise; brother, George Clark; many nieces and nephews, and dear friend, Cora Clark. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Olive Clark; brother, Charles Clark; daughter, Lynett Kendall; and son, Clark MacDonald.
Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 9th, 2018, at the Oakfield Cemetery with Pastor David Fox officiating.
