HOULTON, Maine — Golf season is really rolling along. Good weather has helped the course, and with good weather comes our regular events.

Congratulation to the Ladies Association. They held their opening scramble on Tuesday with 35 people attending. The event was won by the team of Kathy Belyea, Pam Mailman, Amy and Carla McPartland. The Ladies Association will start its weekly matches this week.

The annual Memorial Scramble was played on Saturday, with the team on Martha And Mike Fasulo, and Harriet and Bob Gray winning the event. Congrats to all who participated, as the proceeds went to the beautification committee for flowers on the course.

The Men’s Twilight League began on Monday. The schedule can be found on our website at houltongolf.com, or on our wall at the clubhouse.

Upcoming events planned are a Couples Scramble on Friday, June 15, at 5 p.m. The Houlton High School Alumni Association will hold its annual four person scramble on Saturday, June 30, at 9 a.m. To sign up for either or both events call the proshop. The initial meeting of our junior golf clinic will be held on Tuesday, June 26, at the clubhouse. All future classes will be held on Mondays. Call the clubhouse for more details.

The Lakeside Restaurant is gearing up for the busy season. It is just a short drive from town and we will get you in quickly for lunch, Wednesday through Saturday. We also serve a relaxing  dinner, but you better call Nancy at 694-9494 for reservations. And don’t forget Sunday Brunch.
