Tree knocked out power to more than 1,300 in Caribou area

CARIBOU, Maine — A tree came down on transmission lines on the Access Highway, knocking out power to 1,354 Emera Maine customers at about 8:30 a.m. Friday.

Emera spokesperson Judy Long said power was restored to all customers by about 9:35 a.m.

In addition to Aroostook customers, the outage affected four in Washington County and 12 in Hancock County.
