Houlton Salvation Army to host Vacation Bible School program

HOULTON, Maine — The Salvation Army of Houlton will conduct its Vacation Bible School for ages 5-12 on Aug. 22-24 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

This year’s theme is “Babylon — Courage in the Lion’s Den.” Pastor Frank Nataluk and newly arrived Lieutenant Adrian Aponte and their team of volunteers will be transforming 12 Court St. into a place of fun and learning for children during this event.

There will be games, crafts, snacks, music and a Bible story each evening.  To pre-register, call 532-2322.

In addition, there will be an event on Saturday Aug. 25, from 2-4 p.m. at Riverfront Park called “Meet The Salvation Army in the Park” with special guests Majors Angelo and Virginia Bermeo currently on their “Dare to Dream” Tour with Illusions and fun for children of all ages. There will be balloons, face painting, information booth and prayer tent.  The Bermeo’s will also be guests for the Church Service on Sunday, Aug. 26 at 11 a.m. and all are invited.
