CARIBOU, Maine – Russell W. Huston, 83, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018, at the Caribou Nursing Home. He was born in Perham on September 28, 1934, son of Walter and Florence Huston.
He is survived by his sister, June Huston of Texas; his sons, Mark Huston of Caribou, David Huston and his wife, Vicki, of Mapleton, Eric Huston and his wife, Vicky, of North Carolina, and Juanita Worley and her husband, Chris, of North Carolina. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Paige Huston, Cameron Huston, Kyle Huston, Ryan Huston, Alyssa Michaud, Brittany Wezner, Bennett Worley, and Addison Worley; his great-granddaughter, Weston Huston; as well as a special daughter-in-law, Patti Ericson; and mother of his children, Betty Cash. He was predeceased by his brother, Sterling Huston, and long-time companion, Irene Whitaker.
Russell spent his entire life farming in Perham; first with his Dad and later with his sons. He enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, music, and line dancing. His greatest joy came during the grain harvest as he loved combining grain each year in August and September.

There will be a graveside service at the Perham Cemetery on Friday, August 31, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. for family and friends. A reception will be held afterwards at the Perham Baptist church. In lieu of flowers, if one wishes, donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Association of Maine or the Washburn Trail Runners snowmobile club.
